Meet the Doctor

Andrew Gellady, M.D., FAAP
Dr. Gellady's picture   Dr. Gellady graduated with honors from New York Medical College. He holds a dual board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida in Tampa and a member of the American Board of Pediatrics.

A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Gellady was one of the first Board Certified Pediatricians in Pasco County and was a founding Medical Director of the Pasco County Child Protection Team. He has been in practice for over 30 years.

Andrew is a lifelong fitness fanatic. He has run in the New York City and Boston Marathons. He in-line skates about thirty miles a week. Dr. Gellady is very excited about our new childhood fitness and nutrition program.

He currently resides in Palm Harbor with his wife and enjoys spending time with his three daughters and grandchildren.

Jessica S. Gellady, ARNP
Jessica Gellady's picture   It's a coming home for our newest addition to the Pediatric Wellness Team. Jessica Gellady joins us as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She grew up attending Pasco and Pinellas County Schools and is happy to return to the Tampa Bay Area. Jessica recently earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida. She has worked with children and babies in hospitals, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, and in private practice.

This is a second career for Ms. Gellady. Before transitioning into health care, Jessica worked as a television news anchor and reporter for stations around the country. Interestingly, Jessica often had the health beat and was once dubbed "Miss Medical" by her peers at a Midwest TV station for her daily health reports.

Jessica was born with a hearing loss and was featured in an Augusta, Georgia, newspaper article headed, "Beyond the Sound Barrier". She did not let this stop her from working in the communications industry or prevent her from pursuing her health care goals.

She loves children and has a long history of volunteering with organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Girls, Inc., and the Make A Wish Foundation. As a mother of three young ones herself, Jessica can identify with many parental concerns and finds it a privilege to watch children grow and change.

Jessica is also the oldest daughter of Dr. Andrew Gellady and is honored to work with and learn from a wonderful pediatrician who happens to be her dad.
